How to read the comparison
Salary pays the same whether your schedule is full or empty. Percentage pay rises and falls with what you produce. The break-even figure is the question to test: if you are confident of producing more than that in a year, the percentage offer pays more; if not, the salary is the safer choice.
Before you sign, ask how the percentage is calculated. Pay on collections is lower than pay on production by whatever the practice fails to collect, and some contracts deduct lab fees before applying your percentage.
Basis: your inputs only. This compares cash compensation; it is not tax, legal, or contract advice.
